Spring Photoshoot :: Sunday, April 27, 2014
Was able to get out of the house and get in a new spring photoshoot!!
We found a really beautiful walkway to shoot in, and went to town. There were tons of old people walking along, though. So it was interesting to watch the reactions they had to us.
I'm really loving all of the great pictures we were able to get! We've gotten through editing 5 of them so far! The rest I'll post up after they're finished!
As always, head over to my modelling page on facebook and give me a like!!

UPDATE! Teaching in Japan crap and pictures! :: Friday, April 25, 2014
GAH!
It's been absolutely ages since I updated this thing!
As usual, a ridiculous amount of things have happened in the last several months! I'll give a quick rundown of the highlights!
1. The Boy is still with me!
We've been together for an entire year now, and I honestly don't know how he puts up with my crap! I know I'm a handful to deal with even on my best days, so it's a testament to what a saint (or absolute fruitcake!) that he's stuck around... that isn't to say that there aren't days that I want to throttle him, too. But, alas, that's the nature of relationships!
So here's to hopefully many years of our awesome fruitcakey goodness!!
2.I've been directly hired by a city to teach English in Junior High!!
Now to those of you who don't know the score in AET-ing, there are a couple levels to the English teaching racket.
Probably the bottom rung is private lessons and the likes, either on your own or at companies such as Aeon or Gaba.
Now some people would disagree and say this is actually the best because you can choose you're own schedule and can deny clients you don't want to take. However, what they don't tell you is the fact that you only get paid for the number of lessons you teach and that you pretty much have to pimp yourself out in order to get and keep clients. Blah!
The next rung up is the dispatch company AET.
This is when you get hired by a company such as RCS or Borderlink and are then sent to work in a city at either elementary or Junior High (or both) level schools. You usually work in the same city for 1 year before there is a literal biding war between the companies to decide which company will provide the AETs for that city the next year. Sometimes, if you're extremely lucky, you'll be placed in the same city... more often than not, you're relocated to a new school where you have to re-learn all the teachers, how to get to school, and sometimes even have to move to be close enough to avoid a 2 hour commute to school.
At this rung, you're also subject to harsh pay-cut-penalties for taking days off, offered an extremely low salary and have to contend with overworked middle management who hate their job and can't help you 9 times out of 10 even when that's their job.
This was what I've been doing the last year, though I'm a veteran, so I can pretty much do my teaching thing in my sleep, so no biggie.
Finally, The coveted DIRECT HIRE
This is when you are actually employed by the city and are treated like a real person with feeling and such. This is the type of job every AET strives to achieve but rarely ever manages. Pay is fan-fucking-tastic, you get sick days and holiday pay, other teachers treat you like a teacher, etc. etc.
Somehow, this year I managed to grab up one of these positions!! WUT! WUT!
Ok, yeah, I know, that was completely uncalled for, but it's pretty exciting!!
3. I've started legitimately modelling.
I haven't had any major jobs or anything of that nature, but I've had a couple shoots and the likes. It's mostly just something I'm doing for fun and to pick up a little extra cash on the side.
And to what most of my readers usually come here for: the pictures!!
There are more on my portfolio website! SO, go check that out over on wordpress!
I'm going to try to get back on updating this blog more often. We'll see what happens!
