Step 1: SUPPORT GROUP
I joined a new facebook group called Get SEXY for SPRING! which has been started by the Western gyaru Usagi and Ashley. It's a good place to find tips about weight loss and follow the progress of other gals who are working toward becoming more healthy!
Joining a group that both shares your interests and has come together to support each other is key!
Step 2: GREEN SMOOTHIES
I started GREEN SMOOTHIES! and drinking healthy smoothies as meal replacements and snacks. Now, this is definitely not something for everyone and isn't always a long term weight loss solution. It is a great way to sneak veggies into your diet and also a good way for you to get all the nutrients you need for a meal in a very lazy way. (no cooking needed, just use the blender lazy butt!!)
A good smoothie recipe site that I've been using is Incredible Smoothies.
BUT! like any type of meal replacement regiment, you have to either stick with it for AGES or learn to transition the smoothie meals into healthy choices of the solid variety. Just doing the smoothies for X amount of time, getting slimmed down, then going back to the poor meal choices you had before is NOT going to cut it in the long run!!
I have severely fallen out of my exercise routine in the last 6 months. I can come up with numerous excuses as to why, but excuses do not lead to weight loss!! They just allow you to continue being a lazy-ass!!
I've started the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. The dvd has 3 levels that you spend 10 days on each. It's only a 20 minute work-out, so it's extremely easy to work into your day. You can either buy the dvds or watch them on youtube (here) or download the torrent (here).
As well as the Shred, I've been trying to work in some yoga when I have time.
Hopefully by doing this, I'll be able to slim back down to where I wanted to be before I move!!
