Inspiration post! :: Sunday, July 17, 2011
Man, you can truly call it summer now! It's been up to almost 100°F (38°C) for a couple of days now! It is scorching out there!

Though, this kind of weather makes me want to dress up in my yukata and go to a summer festival! But, I have to wait until August to go to the summer festival at Mitsuwa in Chicago!
In other news, I've been flipping through a lot of magazines lately trying to get some inspiration and I've found a ton! ~~~ヾ(^∇^)
I've been going back and forth with my makeup recently. I've tried some heavier makeup, but I don't think it really suits me well. And, I've always liked more natural looking makeup anyway.
So, while flipping through August's Popteen, I came across 2 really inspiring pictures.

Tsubasa and Kumicky!!
I just

Another trend I've noticed in a lot of the magazines right now is the lean towards messy bangs. I know this trend has been going on for some time. It makes me happy because I've always had trouble keep my bangs neat looking. Now, I don't have to worry about it as much.
I even found this mini-tutorial with 4 easy steps.

I translated it very loosely, too.
1) Divide your bangs into 2 sections and pin the top part back. You'll be cutting on the bottom part.
2) Take scissors and slowly make a sliding cut towards the ends of the hair.
3) It was really cut! Cut only a little bit is the trick!
4) Repeat step 2 through the whole layer. Finally, check the length of ends and pull the top part down to cover it and you're done!
Before Picture: The bangs stick in the eyes painfully, and they're too heavy and give you a kind of dark look.
After Picture: The heavy bangs become light. If you use this method, there's not fear of failure!
It's a pretty easy concept, but still a little daunting even if the tutorial acts as if it's no big thing!
So, with these inspirations in minds, I did my makeup and hair!

And of course, my outfit for the day.

I'm going to be trying some of the up-dos in some of the magazines as well. Especially because it is so

Finally,
Hanging out with my kitty!

He was attacking my hair!

He's getting so BIG! He's going to be so tall just like his Daddy. And, hopefully he wont be as much of a diva as his mommy. ( ゚▽゚)
