Can't be gal all the time! :: Thursday, March 31, 2011
With that being the case, I want to see what everyone wears when they AREN'T all gal-ed up!
SO, because I believe in "give a little, get a little" I'll go ahead and do myself 1st!
I am one of the gals who unfortunately can't wear gyaru to work. I can't have "wild" nails (I do anyway), can't wear (as my doctor says) "those wacky contacts" and have to be conservative with my hair style. I must wear either black slacks or a plain black skirt (no pattern), black shoes, and a black blazer over whatever I wear on top. As long as my regional manager isn't around, I can get away with not wearing my blazer and wearing a little more makeup than usual. But, since I work over 40 hours a week, my day-to-day wear is rather boring (T_T) However, if I don't work, I wont have money to buy all my lovely clothes and such!!
Luckily, in August, I'm going to start working for a new doctor, and I'll be able to wear whatever I want (within reason) wear my hurr however I like, and get away with a lot more makeup! EXCITED! But, still wont be able to go all out gal.
Also, I am an avid soccer player! I've been playing select since I was 10 years old with only a short break in college while I studied abroad. Now that I'm back home, I've joined an adult league. Of course, I can't exactly be gyaru while playing soccer... though, I tend to be one of the girls with the most makeup on, and have been known to play with some very interesting hair styles xDD
SOOOO~~ Here are the 3 MEs!
I know, I know, my legs are sexy when I don't have tights on xPP and, yes, those are huge bruises!!
I find it funny that I feel like a granny when I'm at work, and the other girls I work with feel "dressed up." We're all the same ages... but have very different definitions of "dressy" and "old lady."
In other news, I had a very cam-whoreish day hanging out with before going out with friends. So, please forgive the picture SPAMMUUUU!
TIGHTS!
No flash. I tried, instead of lining my entire waterline, just doing the line right under the iris. I think it's turned out the best so far. It doesn't emphasize the roundness of my eyes like full lining does, but it breaks up my waterline enough that it's not as prominent as usual.
Flash!
Artsy Pictures xDD
And I know, those 2 pictures are SO not cute xPP
Finally, my brother and I. <3<3<3 Yesh, ok, the pictures spam is over now. I'm going to go find something more productive to do! <3 LOVE!

My.eyes.are.huge! :: Monday, March 28, 2011
Sometimes I don't think people believe me when I say my eyes are HUGE. And, in a style that emphasizes dramatic eyes and making your eyes appear larger than they are, it's kind of funny that my eyes are almost TOO BIG!
Some examples:
On the left, me with very little make-up (I think I might have mascara on) and no product in my hair. (and a very frowny face :P)
On the right, the whole 9 yards. Eyeliner, falsies, 14.5mm circle lenses, hair done.
As you can see, my eyes are HUGE whether I wear makeup or not. I don't open them bigger or try to make them look larger, they're just like that.
Another example:
On the left, No makeup at all, nothing in my hair. On the right, another example of me gal-ed up with the same circle lenses as before in a different color. But, I'm smiling in both pictures!
LOOK! My eyes now "look good" and "correct." But, the things is, I can't smile ALL the time, and I'd look awfully funny squinting everywhere I went. Everyone will wonder where I've misplaced my glasses!
Once-more, my makeup in both right side "gal-ed up" photos is virtually identical. The only real difference is different circle lenses and different lighting. (and the smile of course!)
So, to all the people asking me "are you making your eyes that big?" or " are you opening your eyes bigger on purpose?" (and I've been asked this oodles of times) No, my eyes are just super large.
I'm open to suggestions about how to "fix" this. Though, I don't know that it really needs to be fixed xDD I'm just different in a different way than most.
I've tried lining my waterline and wearing larger circle lenses, which has been suggested. But really, I didn't see any difference (except maybe they looked larger?)
That's all for now xDD

SO... :: Sunday, March 27, 2011
I just started this blog so I had an easier time checking all the blogs I enjoy reading. I may eventually do some of my own blogging.... but since I already have a personal blog over on Livejournal... this blog will probably turn into more of my fashion inspiration and outfit posting blog...
SO, just to get started, I'll post my latest outfits.
I've had this dress in my closet for ages now. I just haven't gotten around to wearing it. So, finally this week, I decided it was time. I really like how the outfit turned out.
I also did my hair differently than usual.
I love these 2 tone tights! But, I'm always so scared every time I wear them that I'll ruin them!
I always envy the girls that take sexy stylistic photos, so I've been trying it out lately.
I just started getting into doing my nails. I usually can't wear my nails long because I work in optical and have to mess with people's glasses and eyes often. But, lately, I've started doing my own nails.
Finally, just today's outfit and nails. I felt very much like Indiana Jones for some reason. It's the hat and colors I'm sure.
I was looking through some magazines and noticed some messy braids and really liked them, so I figured I'd give them a go. My own hair was giving me TONS of trouble sneaking out of the braids, though. Tried the braids about 4 times before I said f-it and let it go. xDDD
This is just what I've been wearing lately. I'm thinking about getting some false lower lashes, but I don't know how well they will look on me. My lower lashes are already so long, and because my eyes are so big, I'm scared they'll just look silly. Something to think about :)
I'm also going to figure out how to edit the header and such eventually so my blog is pretty.
