CRAFT FAIR! :: Tuesday, November 8, 2011
Somehow WE MADE IT!
As I've told you all, Ma and I participated in the craft fair in my hometown this weekend! Most people take all year to get ready for the craft fair.. we decided to join 3 weeks ago! And, then we lost a week when we lost my Uncle :(
So, in less than 2 weeks, we somehow managed to put together everything we needed to make some type of showing at the craft fair!
First, Friday was the set up day. Ma and I took the entire day to finish everything up, finishing the signs, catalogs, and order forms while still trying to finish the signs and banners we have on order from our normal customers.
Let's just say, we were a whirl-wind of activity, and it was a very stressful day!
We couldn't set up until 8pm Friday, so we worked for most of the day until 4pm (instead of 5pm) then went home early to take a little break!
I had nothing better to do... so CAMWHORAGE! Just a little though. I found the exposure gauge on my old phone, so...
HOLY OVER EXPOSURE BATMAN!
So many girls use this method to make themselves look better/prettier/have less flaws. You see it in the cellphone caps in magazines, on model blogs, and in tons of other gyaru blogs! I mean, whiting out your flaws with lighting is an easy alternative to photoshop! xD It also makes your eyes look HUGE because all your other features are GONE (or understated)! It's a long used trick for gyaru! :) (I went a little overboard though)

And, a moment's break from the wildness! We were going crazy!
We got to set up at 8:30ish and didn't end up going home until after 11pm! After they kicked us out of the building at 10pm, ma and I headed back to the office to make a couple more things and pack up some more!
Saturday was the actual start of the fair! It started at 9am, but honestly, 8-10pm was not enough time to get everything into the building, find our booth, set everything up, and be completely ready! SO, they let us come in at 6am and we decided to get there at 7:30am to finish.... Which meant, I had to be awake at 5:30am so I could get ready (slowly and blearily).
Well, Hello there 6am... you came earlier than I expected!
You can see how exhausted I am. Ma and I decided on a purple and black theme, so I threw on something. :) (the bathrooms in the school we so dirty! Please ignore it!)
The setup! We're a sign shop, so we make signs of all kinds! (street signs, yard signs, billboards, car lettering, decals everything!) For the fair, we started making interior design lettering and images! Also, Etched glass! It's a type of vinyl that makes it look like you took your mirror or whatever to a glass store and had it Etched! So, instead of paying $100-$200, it only cost like $15-$20!! Very cool!

Ma took a picture of me about half-way through the fair, I look just like I'm about to fall over and go to sleep on the ground! 5:30pm COME FASTER!
Sunday!
Ma and I got up early again, and this is what we found in the sink!
There are signs all around us! I think this was my Uncle Steve! We got the message!
After we saw it, ma tried to recreate it... and she just couldn't do it! It was amazing!
The fair didn't start until 10am that day, so we got there at... 10am! HA!
I didn't take many pictures that day. Way too tired and nothing really new to take pictures of. I didn't have time to walk around the fair, so Just what I wore and a snap of IT'S OVER!! face
I did super understated makeup this day... but more people commented on my contacts and makeup this day than on Saturday! Actually, in truth, no one said anything on Friday or Saturday! I thought it was so weird!
After the fair, most of the family went over to my Grandma's house to have dinner just because. It was good to see everyone again.
Finally, today is my first day off in 2 weeks! First day where I can just sit and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! So, I'm catching up on my tv shows and doing a lot of sitting and staring :)
